چکیده
Abstract Background This study aimed to define clusters of disease activity and prognostic factors the course in a well-characterized cohort children with Crohn’s (CD). Methods All patients CD identified from SIGENP IBD registry follow-up at least 5 years 6-monthly evaluation were included. Active was defined for each yearly semester as follows: clinical (wPCDAI≥12,5 or MINI index ≥8), need treatment escalation, hospitalization, surgery, active on endoscopy (SES-CD >3) imaging. Formula-based generated based previously published patterns adults 1. Prediction models created clinical, surgical, endoscopic, laboratory findings diagnosis 6-month follow-up. Results Data 332 analyzed. Ninety-six (29%) had quiescent course; 52 (16%) 34 (10%) moderate-to-severe chronically chronic intermittent disease; 107 (32%) 43 (13%) an first two after remission thereafter opposite course, respectively. Overall, 129 (39%) presented follow-up, no patient off-therapy. Surgery time significantly associated [OR 10.05 (CI 3,05-25,22), p 0.0005], while growth impairment moderate-severe requiring corticosteroids 6 months inversely related group 0.48 0,27-0,81) 0.007 OR 0.35 0,16-0,71) 0.005, respectively]. Perianal involvement positively correlated progression (i.e., B1 B2/B3) 2.55 1,05-6,07) p<0.04 3.85 1,20-12,85) 0.02]. Seventy-three (22%) required which 31 (43%) diagnosis. Conclusion Approximately one-third our during five In contrast, more than intermittently entire initial followed by persistent activity. diagnosis, mild onset without impairment, lower corticosteroid use six predicted over time. متن کاملCrohn's disease: increased mortality 10 years after diagnosis in a Europe-wide population based cohort.
BACKGROUND No previous correlation between phenotype at diagnosis of Crohn's disease (CD) and mortality has been performed. We assessed the predictive value of phenotype at diagnosis on overall and disease related mortality in a European cohort of CD patients. METHODS Overall and disease related mortality were recorded 10 years after diagnosis in a prospectively assembled, uniformly diagnosed...
